Volunteer

Volunteers have always been an important part of the Good Shepherd Community.  Following our mission and values, they work closely with staff to enrich the lives of the residents.  Volunteers are matched to assignments based on their interests and the needs of our residents and tenants.

Current Needs

  • Northern Delights Store Assistant (Temporary & Permanent Positions)
    We are looking for social butterflies to join our team in the store
    Fridays 3:00 - 6:00 and/or Saturday afternoons & Sundays - a variety of times   

 

  • Errands Assistant
    This position is scheduled as the errands are needed. Volunteer should have their own vehicle and a knack for shopping!

 

  • Sunshine Walkers
    Do you like to go for walks? Then this is the opportunity for you! We are looking for someone to assist with providing wheelchair rides around the block for residents. Must be physically able to push a wheelchair.

 

  • Dining Room Prep Assistant (Lunch)
    Looking for volunteers to assist with setting tables, serving meals, and clearing tables in any of our apartment buildings. The time commitment is 10:30 am - 12:30 pm. Volunteer for 1 day or 1 week! A free meal is offered on same day you volunteer when the whole shift is completed.

 

  • Dining Room Assistant (Dinner)
    We have one position open at Shepherd Court Apartments to assist with setting, serving meals, and clearing tables. The time frame is Wednesday evening from 4:30-6:30 pm. A free meal is offered on the same day you volunteer when the whole shift is completed.

Pet Visits

Dogs, cats and their owners are welcome to come and visit! Pre-visit authorization is required.

Junior Volunteers
We are looking for volunteers age 13+ to assist throughout our campus.

Northern Delights Store Assistant
Join our coffee shop team and visit with those coming in to shop, socialize, or help with a store-themed special event.

Musicians
Come and share your musical talents with us! Musicians of all types are welcome.

Friendly Flock Visitor
Listen to great life stories and share some of your own by visiting and building friendships with those living on campus.

Volunteer Drivers
Volunteers are needed to ride with individuals to and from various appointments.

Home Delivered Meals
Deliver fresh meals to those living within the Sauk Rapids and Sartell communities. Schedules are flexible.

Service Learning & Internships
We invite classes or individuals of all ages to share your talents and gifts with us. Some groups may include; Sorority/Fraternity, Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts, Company Projects, Service Clubs, and others.  Learn more
