The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd
A Ministry of Christ's Love to the Aging
From the early days when worship was celebrated wherever space was available, to 1999 when the new Chapel was built and dedicated, Spiritual ministry has always been an integral part of The Good Shepherd Community.
The Good Shepherd Chapel is literally located in the center of our 30-acre campus and is at the heart of our services. Our beautiful sanctuary provides a serene environment for worship, Bible study, prayer and other spiritual activities designed to enrich the lives of residents, tenants, families and staff. The Good Shepherd Community employs a full-time Chaplin with training and experience in working with the elderly and those with special needs. Clergy from other faith traditions are encouraged and welcome to minister to their members living at Good Shepherd as well as lead worship services.
The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd became an official church congregation on April 1, 2003. This congregation provides a unique emphasis on aging (elderly) ministry to The Good Shepherd Community campus as well as the surrounding local area. The mission of The Good Shepherd Community is to provide a ministry of housing and health care services from a Christian perspective by ministering to the whole person: mind, body and spirit. The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd is an essential part of fulfilling our spiritual mission. Our pastor ministers to the church body, as well as residents and tenants through a variety of services such as worship, bible studies, and individual counseling and prayer visits.
We welcome you to join us for service on Sundays at 10:00 a.m. For more information about our congregation or to become a member, please contact:
