Living Life To The Fullest

When Ida Sass moved to Shepherd Court Apartments five years ago, she didn't know anybody.  Now, Ida is the chair of a ladies organization Lutheran Woman's Missionary League, volunteers, and leads an aerobics class twice a week.

"I'm so busy, I feel like I just sleep here," said the 92 year-old.  "I'm always out and about, doing something."

When Ida isn't out and about, she can be found in her apartment browsing through her extensive book collection.

"I've collected these books while traveling," explains Ida.  "I enjoy looking through them and thinking about where I've been."

While Ida enjoys that there is so much to do on the Good Shepherd Campus, she also appreciates the services that are available to her.

"All of my spiritual and physical needs are taken care of here," said Ida.  "If I should ever need nursing help, I won't have to move.  And I walk down the hall to go to church."
