Your Gifts At Work

The Good Shepherd Foundation has been integral to the success of countless projects, programs, and facility enhancements to enrich the lives of our residents and tenants.  These Foundation initiatives range in size and scope but always remain within our mission to serve from a Christian perspective of care and compassion.  Among the many successful Foundation-supported initiatives are the following:

Memory Care Cottages

These cottages, build within the Household Model of design, meet the special needs of those living with mild of moderate memory loss due to dementia, Alzheimer's, and other related illness.  This unique residential neighborhood gives residents the warmth and familiarity of a real home while providing the sensory stimulation and specialized care that is proven to affirm and rehabilitate.

Shepherd's Watch Program

The Shepherd's Watch Program provides comfort to those in the final stages of terminal illness.   The caring and selfless volunteers who are the heart of Shepherd's Watch, offer support, understanding, and companionship and family members during the most difficult of times and aid in celebrating life and the life everlasting.

Good Shepherd Community Chapel

Our chapel is home to the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd congregation and offers services to a wide variety of Christian denominations on a regular basis.  Our Pastor/Chaplain ministers to the residents and tenants through worship, bible study, counseling, and prayer visits.

Foundation influence and support is wide ranging and can be seen throughout our campus.  Some of the Foundation supported items and equipment include Automatic Defibrillators for medical emergency, blanket warmers for comfort and pain management, and a resident computer workstation for communication and word processing.

Fellowship Center

The addition of our Fellowship Center provides Good Shepherd with additional space to promote Christian values to the greater community and create an atmosphere for faithful worship as we celebrate Christ's gifts.

While the chapel offers a sanctuary for God's Word and the celebration of his gifts of grace, a greater community impact is seen within the Fellowship Center.

It provides a space for the community to gather in celebration and fellowship, host receptions, and support the needs of our families.  The center is available for resident/tenant functions, outside organizations, and gatherings within the Christian mission of Good Shepherd.

It provides adjoining space for larger worship attendance thereby impacting a far greater population with God's Word and Sacraments.
